BONE FIRE Smokehouse, formerly known as 12 Bones, has become famous as a leader in the redevelopment of Downtown Kingsport! Opening in late 2007, this smokehouse served over 25,000 people in the first 100 days! BONE FIRE is known for it's awesome brown sugar baby back ribs, special weekly sauces like Apple Chow Chow, Peach Habanero, Memphis, Connie Sue and more! Along with ribs, BONE FIRE features hand-pulled pork & chicken, half & quarter smoked chickens, beef brisket, smoked turkey and incredible homemade sides like Collard Greens, Deep-Fried Baby Bakers, Sweet Potato Casserole, Jalapeno Cheese Grits, Broccoli Salad, Smoked BBQ Beans, Cheese Spuds, Various Slaws and homemade desserts! Bone Fire Smokehouse is open 7 days a week at 11am for lunch and check with the store for dinner hours depending on the season.
BONE FIRE is located at 242 E. Main Street across from the old Train Station in a restored 1920 brick building that once housed Variety Printing Co. In 1948, the building received installation of Kingsport's first sprinkler system and has been refurbished to continue service today. And for even more good news for the Tri-Cities community, BONE FIRE SMOKEHOUSE has started doing caterings (from 30 to over 1,000 people) and has recently purchased an adjacent building on Main Street to offer on-site banquets and live music events! The new facility, "The Bone Fire Bus Pit" will open shortly and is able to serve up to 300 people with easy access. This Venue will be a Landmark for years to come. With one of the most unique Music Venues in the region and a bar like no other, you Will have a good time here. Music will be the main draw, with great food, great local talent and national recognized artist being booked to make some great memories!!! Stir Fry Cafe is located in what was originally the Baylor Nelms Furniture store built in 1918. The Stir Fry Cafe concept started 16 years ago in Knoxville and was founded by Kenny Siao. In 2008, the restaurant group renovated the bottom floor at 125 Broad Street into Stir Fry's only downtown location. During renovation many of the original features of the building were kept present. Exposed brick walls and the original hard wood floor combine with local art to create a unique downtown dining experience.The restaurant features traditional Asian dishes like General Tso’s Chicken and Sesame Chicken. They also have original items like Stir Fry Combo, Spicy Noodles, and a wide variety of fresh sushi rolls.Wednesday nights have become a favorite for locals to enjoy half off sushi from 5-9 PM. The Courtyard Restaurant, owned and operated by Kathy Gilliam, opened in downtown Kingsport in April 2000. The lunch menu features freshly prepared salads, quiche, homemade soups, sandwiches and homemade desserts.The Courtyard Restaurant is located one block from the historic Church Circle at the corner of Commerce and New Streets.
