Allen Dryden Architects

 The firm of Allen N Dryden Architect was established in 1920 by the late Allen N Dryden, Sr. to pursue the general practice of architecture. In 1970 the services of the Firm were broadened to include Architecture, Planning and Interior Design under the second generation leadership of Allen N Dryden, Jr. who is certified to practice Architecture by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and licensed to practice in nine eastern states. The firm of Allen Dryden Architects has completed well over 3000 projects in numerous eastern states with a project cost in excess of four hundred million dollars. During that time a wide variety of project types have been successfully designed by our office and properly executed under the supervision of our staff. In recent years, we have completed a number of major planning and architectural projects. This work has included renovations, additions, restorations and totally new facilities.

 

In addition to providing design services for numerous projects this firm has also been involved in the process of defining needs and developing programs for a number of large facilities. Among these are Schools, Libraries, Hospitals, Justice Center Offices, Airport Facilities and Churches.

 

Our firm has been the recipient of several awards for outstanding design. Among these were the National Design Awards for Motor Freight Maintenance Facility by the National Fleet Owner Conference, School of the Year Award by the Tennessee School Boards Association, and the Edwin F Guth Award for lighting excellence (an international design award), AIA Tennessee Award of Excellence in Architecture and Southern Living Magazine Feature Articles. These awards are indicative of the versatility displayed by this firm.
